a little something from what's in my handbag

A while ago I signed up to what's in my handbag (WIMH) and at first I didn't really understand the concept but after a quick read I understood, and was on board. 

If you haven't heard of WIMH before it's pretty simple, they have created an online 'magazine' where you can nosey at what people carry in their handbags and certain contents of the handbag you can click that you either 'have' it or 'want' it, you have up to 10 'wants' a month and as many 'haves' as you like, by adding haves and wants to your 'beauty cabinet' it creates a profile of you, so the team at WIMH can see what products you may be interested in receiving a sample of.

On WIMH there is also a 'try + buy' section, where each week there is the opportunity to 'try' a product, all you do is register your details for your chance to receive a free sample or if the try isn't anything you fancy trying then there are 'pop-up' offers where you can receive generous discount or pay for a full sized product and a sample, try the sample, if it's not for you just send the full sized product back unopened and you'll be refunded. 

I was starting to feel dubious about if I was going to receive any samples, when I saw on Steph's blog that she had received something.. my hope was restored and I carried on adding to my neverending list of 'wants' and registering for 'trys'. Now finally it's my turn to tell you it works!

As you can see I got a 4ml sample of Alpha-H Liquid Gold with Glycolic Acid. The first thing I must say is the packaging was totally unexpected but such a nice touch. The sample was sent cushioned, wrapped in tissue paper - with a personalised sticker, in a box.. I was expecting samples to just arrive in an envelope!

I've been reading up on Alpha-H Liquid Gold to see if my skin would actually benefit from using it,  and have found out (if it lives up to it's rave reviews) that my skin should feel firmer, smoother and my complexion will be clearer.. so I'm looking forward to reviewing this properly in a few weeks time.
